Tour ITINERARY
Prepare for your Mount Meru adventure with a pre-trek briefing at your Arusha hotel. If you’ve opted for airport transfers, we’ll pick you up from Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport. Spend the day reviewing equipment and getting ready for the trek ahead.
Embark on a scenic drive from Arusha to Momella Gate, where your trek begins. Catch breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro and the Momella lakes as you hike through diverse landscapes. Encounter wildlife like Bushbucks and Giraffes en route to Miriakamba Hut.
Trek along the steep ridge of the saddle, marveling at the Meru crater and little Meru. Keep an eye out for Cape Buffaloes and Colobus monkeys along the way. Settle in at Saddle Hut before embarking on a short acclimatization trek to little Meru.
Start early for the final ascent to Socialist Peak, navigating steep gravel and rocky cliffs. Enjoy breathtaking views from the summit before descending to Miriakamba Hut. Complete your trek at Momella Gate, where you’ll reflect on your incredible journey.
